I was recommended/requested to purchase the No7 Extreme Lengthening Mascara for a friend of mine who now lives in Italy (Yes, I’m a little envious). She absolutely swore by this particular mascara for when she wasn’t wearing eyelash extensions. Much like me, her lashes are on the sparse side.
I was fairly skeptical. I opted for their waterproof option and, after a recent waterproof mascara fail incident, I wasn’t too hopeful.
Much like L’Oreal Million Lashes the product looked quite dry on first inspection. The brush is not overloaded with bristles and the wand itself is fairly slim and spikey!
Although the wand looked like it has taken inspiration from a medieval torture device, it did allow the creamy product to go on very evenly and, despite the perceived dryness, there was no clumping at all. It did a fantastic job of lengthening my lashes while still keeping them separate. The product builds well, without overloading, on each application.
You'll be pleased to know that I successfully put it to the test but getting caught in the rain sans umbrella! This mascara stayed put all day, no smudging or smearing and absolutely no dandruff! For a waterproof mascara it was fairly easily removed. No7 recommend using the No7 eye makeup remover.
With products such as this is it easy to see how No7 (an in store brand) has stood the test of time and receives such a loyal following both in the UK and abroad (well, Italy at least)!
